Homes need to be able to evolve with their owners and with extensive experience converting country properties in Suffolk, we recently took on the project of a country kitchen conversion, that had started life as a cow shed.
We initially worked with this client on a garage update, upgrading what they had with a sleek modern design with more storage. We then took on a complete kitchen renovation, transforming the original space.
Originally a cow shed in Bures, Suffolk, the building had been previously converted into a home. The owners where now looking to further open up their space with a light and spacious contemporary kitchen. To achieve this, we started off by creating a vaulted ceiling, that along with new lighting, highlighted the stunning original beams of the property.
The room was plastered and new flooring fitted, with the old kitchen removed and the area redesigned, to reflect its owners needs and a new kitchen fitted.
The finished space is an elegant fusion of country and contemporary design – a traditional white shaker kitchen and original wooden beams, contrasting beautifully with a navy kitchen island and modern flooring.
